Hillgreen Roadworks 30/8 - 5/9/19

Hill Green Lane, Leckhampstead is closed from 30th Aug to 5th Sept this is so Thames Water can repair a visible leak within the carriageway. This is an emergency repair, hence the short notice.

 

The extent of this closure is from the junction of Mud Lane to the junction of West View

The alternative route (Map available here) will be via, Mud Lane, Princes Lane, Field Road, and vice versa. Please note this route is unsuitable for HGV’s

Access will be permitted to residents and ‘Blue light’ response teams.

Cantemus Choir recital: Sat 6th July 2019

The Cantemus Choir will return to St Barnabas' Church, Peasemore on Saturday, 6 July at 7.30pm. The concert will include show tunes, spirituals, folk songs and pop classics. The Good Old Boys Secret Gig: Sat 8th June 8pm

The good old boys are running through a warm up of their set list for the upcoming Wickfest festival on Saturday 8th June at 8pm in the village hall.

All welcome to come and listen, have a dance and grab a drink at the bar

Colin Pamplin Memorial Cricket Match: Sun 15th June 14:30

Some locals may know Colin Pamplin (Sam Merediths dad) who sadly passed away in 2015

The family are running a memorial cricket match on the 15th June to celebrate his life for which cricket was an important part and also to raise money for Cancer Research and Combat Stress

All are welcome to come along to the event, it will be a friendly match between locals and a London invitation team and there will be a bar!

Peasemore Fete: 9th June 2019

Come along to the peasemore cricket ground for the Peasemore Fete 2019.

Fun starts at midday and runs until 4pm

Get a chance to try out the new playground equipment, have a beer, burger or some pimms or a cup of tea and cake

Mexican Fiesta at The Fox - Sun 5th May 2019

After the success of last years WW1 remembrance evening, the village will be taking over the pub again for a Mexican Fiesta on the Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend. Tickets on sale now.

Major Roadworks affecting M4/A34 roundabout April, Jun, July

Highways England has announced a long series of weekend and overnight closures at Junction 13 of the M4. The work covers three weekends in April\May and seven weekends in June\July.

The M4 over the top of the roundabout will be closed:(with traffic routed via the roundabout) on the following dates
10pm-6am each night between 21st April 26th April
10pm on Friday 26 April through to 6am on Monday 29 April
10pm on Friday 26 April through to 6am on Monday 29 April
10pm on Friday 10 May through to 6am on Monday 13May
10pm on Friday 17 May through to 6am on Monday 20 May(Contingency weekend subject to change)

The entire roundabout will be closed on the following times and dates:
10pm on Friday 7 June through to 6am on Monday 10 June
10pm on Friday 14 June through to 6am on Monday 17 June
10pmon Friday 21 June through to 6am on Monday 24 June
10pm on Friday 28 June through to 6am on Monday 1 July
10pm on Friday 5 July through to 6am on Monday 8 July
10pm on Friday 12 July through to 6am on Monday 15 July
10pm on Friday 26 July through to 6am on Monday 29 July

There will be significant diversions and severe disruption and queues around the junction.
